2 Timothy 1:7 tells us:
”For God has not given us a spirit of
fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.”
As we discussed before, sometimes we feel “stuck” and have a hard time getting started. Then once we get started, it is easy to feel afraid. We often think, “Can I really do this? Are people going to want to listen to what I have to say?” When you begin to feel this way, read 2 Timothy 1:7. God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness. Instead, He has given us power, love, and sound judgement.
The Bible contains dozens of verses urging us to have courage and not be afraid, but many of us struggle because we’re attempting to be brave on our own. What truly gives us freedom from fear is Jesus living in us.
When David, a young shepherd boy, faced Goliath (1 Samuel 17:1-58), he toppled the giant, but not because he had confidence in his weapons, strength, or aim. Because he knew God was mighty and good. David was victorious because he placed his trust in the Lord, and that’s why fear had no hold on him.
So don’t be fearful! God will
give you everything you need to share Biblical Wellness with the others.
