Hello Biblical Wellness Leaders!
Matthew 9:35-38 tells us:
35 Then, Jesus went to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. 36 When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were weary and worn out, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then, He said to His disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but
the workers are few. 38 Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
God’s word in Matthew 9:35-38 certainly describes the state of our country today. These verses capture the emotional, physical, and spiritual exhaustion that many face today. Jesus’ compassion for the crowds as “sheep
without a shepherd” (v. 36) resonates today, as people are often lost in so much conflicting information on how to become healthy.
For many, mealtime has been reduced to a drive-through window or something from a box that’s “ready in minutes”. Families just “don’t have time to cook
anymore.”
This is one reason I love to teach cooking classes and meal preparation classes. These types of classes are a great way to help others learn how to prepare healthy food according to the 3 Principles from the Treasures of Healthy Living Bible Study: (On sale)
- Eat only substances God created for food. Avoid
what is not
designed for food. - Eat foods as they were created.
- Don’t let any food become your god.
People want
to feed their families well, but are not sure how to get started.
You can help give them the tools they need to give their families healthy and nutritious meals through various cooking and meal prep classes.
Please join me on September 24th at 7:00 p.m. eastern. In this call, we will learn how to lead cooking classes. Cooking classes are so much fun and a great way to share Biblical Wellness. Here is the link to register:
