What does the last book in the Old Testament have to say about healthy living? Well, the answer may surprise you.

- His Name is to be praised. Let our minds be filled with His name.
Today is very similar to the days of Malachi
Prophets were ignored, and priests were corrupt. The people were offering defiled food upon the altar and they did not care.
Do we see
the same today? We defile the altar of worship, the altar of marriage, and the altar of the table that was designed for fellowship and renewal. Oops - yes that is us today.
God reiterates, "From the rising of the sun even to its setting, My name will be great among the nations." Today, there are armies marching across our land that the Lord is not pleased with. People are profaning 'My
name'.
We can remedy this in our own life by letting God's Word be the authority in all areas of our life. And we can bring back to the table the goodness God designed for healing.
This includes first eating together as a family. How many times this upcoming week can you gather your family for any meals (breakfast counts) and let the table be an altar for fellowship?
As I was rearing my family, low funds kept us at the table for all meals, eating out was not an option. And I believe that God preserved our family through the troubled times because we came together daily to talk and know what was going on with each other. At that time there were no cell phones or tablets to distract.
And as you meet - never
forget, His name is power against the enemy. As you gather with friends and family, remind them of the power of God's name in all situations.
2. The covenant of the heart. does your heart need some fullers soap?
Chapter 2, Behold, He is coming!
Verse 2 -
For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers soap. Many people say this is a cleansing, stomping and a friction cleaning. Yet, it is more.
Soap is an enzymatic reaction. When the Dawn commercial shows the duck covered in oil and then Dawn dishwashing liquid gets the oil to run right off the duck and save its life. That is an enzymatic action.
Enzymes break down
particles. Oil from water, dirt from surfaces, proteins from other proteins.
Enzymes are the spark of life. They break down molecular chains so molecules can then be changed and rearranged. Without the breakdown, there can be no rebuilding. Without the separation, there can be no purifying.
God is coming to break down our stronghold to
the world so we can then reach for him. He is coming so we can let go of worldly things and see Him as our all in all. All of creation points to Him as our creator. Even enzymes showcase His design.
Vs. 7, return to me and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
Vs. 16-17: Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and
the Lord gave attention and hear it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who esteem His name.
And they will be Mine." says the Lord of hosts, 'on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.'
3. The sun of righteousness will rise
with healing on its wings.
But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.
When you are ready to skip from a stall like a young calf, to see the righteousness in God's gift of healing, to speak His name, to purify your heart -
that is when healing appears.
Every book of the Bible has a story about your healing. Let His name and covenant be revealed in your time of worship.
At the recent retreat (it was so amazing, I cannot wait till Oct 2-4, 2025 for the next) Carol Graham shared how our prayers are to be start with thanksgiving, then praise and then our
petitions. When we speak the name of Jesus (Yeshua Messiah) over our families, over our health, over our marriages, over our life - we see Him in all His fullness.
