Happy Saturday ,
We are at the end of February and I almost ran out of time to share one of the most important topics - the HEART.
When Steve and I first struggled with where to turn for help in our last crises of need (year 2003), it was his dad's heart attack that brought Steve to deciding to make better choices. That is
when we were able to see the amazing changes in our health begin.
Here are three decisions we had to make, and in our case, we had to make them quickly.
- Made a decision to change and make it a permanent change. There is no sitting on the fence when it comes to your health. There are also no seasons of eating healthy and not eating healthy.
A decision that makes the body shift into optimal abundant living is a daily walk that was decided before
the day began. - We started eating only foods God called good. There is no struggle once this is decided. I can make some amazing chocolate desserts with no added sugar but my guests would never guess there was no sugar. Here is my favorite recipe.
- We added supplements. As I
was talking with Dr. Jae Hitson in our recent interview, the green zone on blood reports means all is good, the yellow means food changes need to be made, the red means supplements will help bring the healing and the blue - means you are near coding, which is what we called it in the hospital, you are in critical condition. Let's avoid that place.
So, most people can change their life quickly with simple food changes. Falling in love with the foods God called good and leaving behind the
lab experiments.
Yet, for the red zone, which was where Steve and I were in the beginning, means we needed serious help QUICK. His changes needed to be specific supplements and mine was more mental supplements.
Here is what we use even today:
Steve: Mentabiotics, Menta Heart & Omega, you can check it out here.
Annette: ME: Mentabiotics (gut-brain health), Omega (thyroid, weight management, and skin), Edge (happy days) and Mood (my ashwaghanda favorite). You can see this collection here.

The Heart of Spiritual Wellness
Yet, heart health isn’t just about food. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, “Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of
life.” 💕 Taking care of the heart spiritually is just as vital.
Trusting God fully transforms life in incredible ways, as Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Think of a child leaping into a pool, not worrying about the water’s depth or temperature—just trusting their father’s loving arms to catch
them. 🏊♂️💞 That’s the kind of trust God calls for. His everlasting love offers peace and strength, no matter the challenge.
Aligning Faith with Health
Psalm 37:4 (NASB) promises, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” ✨ Aligning trust with faith brings joy, peace, and strength that impacts the whole being. Discover more about trusting God here: Trust God in All Your Ways 🙏.
