Happy AMEN Day ,
We were just talking about exercise on the IC call this week. I showed the bands I keep in a drawer of my desk so that if I am sitting too long and not getting up, I take out those bands and start by making them tight between my hands then pull them directly behind my shoulder blades.
This tightens that skin on the
back.
Another move I make - is to get up, and stand with my back flat to the wall and do knee touches with the opposite elbow. By standing with back against the wall, it helps with better posture and better form to get the best workout.
What are you doing throughout the day for exercise?
Did you know that every time we move our bodies in a way that honors God, we’re actually living out Romans 12:1?
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers
and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
Exercise isn’t just for weight loss or muscle tone—it’s worship. It’s stewardship. It’s aligning with God’s design so we can walk out the calling He’s placed on our lives.
Exercise is for helping us stay on mission. Without exercise we become a sloth. And have you seen a sloth lying in a tree - I
know God has a purpose for them but I think there purpose is to teach us not to be lazy.
In Day 9 of my 40-Day Transformation Course, we explore Christ-Centered Exercise—movement done for vitality, clarity, and obedience. This brings amazing benefits to us
physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
Here are just a few of the powerful benefits:
✅ Clearer thinking and better concentration
✅ Controlled body weight
✅ Improved mood
✅ Relief of stress and tension
✅ Better digestion
✅ Improved functioning of internal organs
And the best part? We get to do all of it unto the Lord. 🙌
1 Thessalonians 4:4
reminds us,
"...that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor.”
If you’ve been wanting to move more but struggle with motivation or mindset, this might be your next step. In the 40-Day Transformation, we talk about beliefs, eating, fasting, exercise, and spiritual renewal—all through a Biblical lens.
Let’s flip the script on exercise—it doesn’t
have to be the dreaded, hum-drum routine we avoid. Think of it instead as playtime with kids in your fam, dancing in worship, swimming, biking, hiking, or simply strolling through the neighborhood.
Even if movement feels hard right now, start where you are—stretch gently in a chair, walk around the house, or just stand and reach during your favorite worship song.
Then as you add or increase
exercise - up the game: add more weights, add more distance, add more minutes.
All this adding equals subtraction:
less stress
less tension
less foggy mind
less muscle loss
less hormonal dysfunction.
It all adds up: Exercise > Slothfulness
The key is to get your body moving—especially in those first 10 minutes of your day. Try it consistently for the next 40 days and see if your energy,
focus, and mood don’t start to shift in a big way!😀
