Take a moment , Pause. (Selah)
Close your eyes and take 7 deep breaths.
🤔💭Now think of a time you felt true peace.....can you picture it?
- Maybe it was God’s perfect peace in the middle of a storm
- Or the laughter of children, pure and joyful
- Perhaps the warmth of sunlight, a gentle breeze, and the beauty of God's
creation.
This is the kind of peace God desires for your life.
Jesus reminds us:
"Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)
Stress tries to steal this peace. It drains joy, interrupts
sleep, and burdens the heart. But God’s Word shows us how to let go and rest in Him.
How to Let Go of Stress and Embrace God’s Peace
1️⃣ Seek God First—He Is Our Refuge
Turn to God in prayer when stress builds. Shift your thoughts to what is true, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Lay your burdens at His feet, and let His peace surround you.
Remind yourself that God is your refuge and strength, and your help in life's problems. (Psalm
46:1)
2️⃣ Pray the Promises, Not the Problem
Prayer turns stress into peace when we focus on God’s promises and not the issues of life that is stealing our peace. Ready to learn how? Our Inner Circle Prayer Coach, Carol Graham, offers a course dedicated to teaching how to pray effectively and embrace God’s peace.
