Every decision (behavior) tells a story! Every story showcases where we see the glory.
Let’s start with this: What is “glory” anyway?
To truly live for His glory, let's understand it.
Greek, the word for glory is doxa (δόξα), which carries the meaning of honor, splendor, and divine quality. It refers to the recognition of God’s
infinite worth and majesty. In English, glory is often defined as great admiration, praise, or the magnificence of God revealed in His creation and works.
When scripture calls us to “do all things for the glory of God,” it’ is more than just about praising Him with our lips. It’s about reflecting His character in every action, choice, and thought. Yes, even those thoughts—because, as the Word says, we are to take every thought captive and make it obedient to
Christ.
So here’s the big question: Is your daily life—what you eat, drink, say, or do—pointing others to God’s magnificence?
What if your next choice could bring you closer to His amazing purpose for your life?
This is where the pause comes in. Ask yourself, and ask Him: Lord, are there parts of my life that don’t glorify You? Show me, and help me make changes that honor
You.
Many of you know my story and how this ministry began. I was feeling God’s guidance to make changes in my life, yet finding answers felt overwhelming. (You can read my story here, if you’re unfamiliar.) It wasn’t until God intervened that I realized all the answers I needed—including those about food—were already in His
Word.
It seems simple now, but I didn’t see it then. That’s why I was inspired to create the Treasures of Healthy Living Bible Study. Click here to learn more.
This study became essential for sharing truth with my family—both biological and spiritual. If you're looking to make
changes in what you eat and drink to truly glorify God, this is an incredible starting point.
Already on that path? It's the perfect way to take your health journey even deeper.
