Shalom ,
What if you could step into a story where fire danced on mountaintops, thunder echoed across the heavens, and God’s voice inscribed His love and law on the hearts of His people?
That’s the invitation of Shavuot—more than a holiday, it’s a revival of our hearts through God’s original Word. In 2025, Shavuot begins at sunset on Sunday, June 1 and ends at sundown on Tuesday, June 3.
Growing up, I’ll never forget the 4th-grade musical where we brought Bible stories to life through song and drama. The melodies of Daniel in the Lion’s Den still linger in my memory. Those early teachings left a mark on
my heart that’s never faded.
In the same way, Shavuot brings God’s Word alive—not just for us but for our children and grandchildren. It’s a festival where the past, present, and future converge, teaching us about God’s promises, His provision, and His presence in our lives today.
A Revival of Heart and Harvest
Shavuot, also known as Pentecost, celebrates the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai (Exodus 19:16-19) and the descent of
the Holy Spirit on believers (Acts 2:1-4).
It reminds us:
- God wrote His laws on stone and later on our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33).
- He fulfilled His promises with the Holy Spirit, equipping us to walk in His truth.
- It’s a time of thanksgiving for the harvest—both physical and spiritual (Leviticus 23:15-22, Ruth 2).
Celebrate with Meaning
This isn’t just about feasting
(although that’s part of it—think Sweet Noodle Kugel you can watch the recipe here or Cream Cheese Biscuits from my free recipe download for celebrating Shavuot).
It’s about pausing to thank God for the harvest in your life: the gifts of provision, wisdom, and
the Holy Spirit who empowers every step of your journey.
And what better way to do this than by incorporating these lessons into family traditions? Teach your children and grandchildren the beauty of God's story through celebration, song, and Scripture.

In His love and abundance!
