Shalom ,
What if the thing we’re missing most right now…
isn’t more effort — but more rest?
As we step into a new season - 2026, I’ve felt a very clear nudge on my heart: to stop.
Not quit. Not disengage.
But to intentionally stop — and enjoy it.
So I’m doing something new this year.
For the next
four weeks, I’m personally committing to a Friday–Saturday Sabbath — a set-apart time to rest, worship, unplug, and realign my heart with God’s rhythm.
And I want to invite you into this conversation with me.
My first Sabbath was this past Saturday. I hid my phone, hid the Ipad and set my computer away. I had meals ready, books to read ready, and then it was time to just relax.
I did have a little challenge as I knew we had a
lot going on in the Inner Circle, as so many people were joining and that always creates excitement. But I determined, as Daniel - to set my mind - on this (meaning the Sabbath). And I stuck to it.
Why Sabbath — and why now?
We’re tired.
Not just physically — but mentally, emotionally,
spiritually.
We live in a world of endless noise, ceaseless hurry, constant notifications, and the subtle pressure to always be on. And yet… peace feels harder than ever to find.
The Sabbath isn’t a rule.
It’s a gift.
God built rest into creation itself — not because He needed it, but because we do.
Sabbath reminds us that:
Our work is not our worth
Our screens are not our sanctuary
Our
pace is not our purpose
In stopping, we begin to see clearly again.
A personal challenge (and invitation)
For the next month, I’m choosing to:
Set aside a clear Sabbath window
Power down unnecessary screens
Prepare ahead so rest is actually restful
Be present with God, family, gratitude, and joy
Not out of obligation — but out of trust.
And honestly? Out of desire.
I want to enjoy
Sabbath — not perform it.
And I’m curious what God might do in just four weeks if we give Him our stillness.
What could change in your:
Peace of mind?
Sleep?
Spiritual clarity?
Relationships?
Joy?
I made a video for you 🎥
I just released a new YouTube video where I share:
Why Sabbath is so often misunderstood
The real excuses that keep us from resting (and how to gently dismantle them)
The surprising
physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of Sabbath
A simple, practical way to try Sabbath for one month
And why this is about freedom — not guilt
