Shalom ,
Many people come to me frustrated with the grocery store prices and lack of good choices. It is a bewilderment that can cause many of us to just buy whatever and pray it works.
What if I shared with you another way to see God at work?
What if before you crossed over that threshold of the store - before you even get out of your
car, there was a prayer to invite God into the store with you? In fact, I invite Him to go before me.
You will be pleasantly surprised by the outcome. I have seen my food budget buy more food than I thought possible. I have found incredible items on sale - organic items.
I have learned from produce managers what foods are best and grown organic without the up charge.
I have had conversations with people that led to sharing Christ.
All because I started with
prayer.
So, now it's your turn. Before you walk into the grocery store—before the aisles, the labels, the decisions—I want to encourage you to pause and pray.
Grocery shopping may feel ordinary, but it’s one of the places where we make daily choices that affect our health, our energy, and our stewardship. And the good news is this: God cares about all of it.
He cares about your budget.
He cares about your desire for healing and health.
He
cares about what nourishes your body and what distracts or harms it.
When we invite Him into this simple moment, shopping becomes purposeful instead of overwhelming.
Here is a prayer you can speak before you go in—whether in the car, on your phone, or quietly in your heart:
“Lord, as I go into this store,
You know my budget,
and You know the desire of my heart for health and healing.
Please lead me
to the foods that will bring life and nourishment,
and lead me away from lab-experiment foods that cause addiction or harm.
I thank You now for what You are going to show me.”
This prayer isn’t about perfection—it’s about guidance.
It’s about trusting God to help you choose wisely, calmly, and confidently.
And so many people notice a difference when they pray this.
They feel less pulled by impulse.
They notice
better options.
They leave the store with peace instead of regret.
God promises us this truth:
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:8)
So the next time you shop, remember—you’re not doing it alone.
God is with you in the aisles, guiding your steps, helping you care for the body He gave you.
May your cart be filled with wisdom, your heart with
peace, and your choices with confidence.
Praying health and provision over you today,
Please share this email with 3-4 of your friends! They need to know this.
