Shalom ,
BEFORE your next doctor’s appointment—before you make the call, sit in the waiting room, or step through those doors—I want to encourage you to pause for just a moment and invite God into that space.
So many people walk into medical appointments feeling anxious, rushed, or unheard.
But as believers, we don’t walk into
any place alone. The Lord goes before us. He prepares the way. And when we pray, we shift the atmosphere from fear to peace, from confusion to clarity.
Here is a simple but powerful prayer you can speak before your appointment:
“Lord, let no fear be served,
no lies be spoken,
no test ordered that is not in Your plan,
and let the outcome be only what You deem will help me
see
the healing You have already prepared.”
This prayer isn’t about resisting help—it’s about inviting wisdom.
It’s about trusting God to guide every conversation, every decision, every recommendation.
And here’s the beautiful part: when people pray this prayer, they often notice a change.
Conversations slow down.
Clarity replaces pressure.
Unexpected options appear.
As I have taught this prayer
for years in the Inner Circle, we have heard amazing tastimonies -
"The doctor was unexpectantly called out of the room and the NP gave me advice she could not say in front of the doctor. She told me how to help my body heal naturally! I was so happy to have invited God into the room with
me!"
"Before I made the appointment, I prayed this prayer and the appointment was cancelled. While I waited a new doctor took over my case and he had answers that were better in alignment of what I was praying for. Praise God."
"It was actually funny; I prayed that no tests would be ordered that were not necessary for my desired outcome. The doctor came in the room and said 'normally we do this test ____ but today the machine is down.' I asked
if that test was necessary and he said - 'well it just helps'. I knew in my heart that test was only to make money and had no help in my treatment. Praise the LORD - so fun to see Him at work."
This is just a sample of what we see happening with this prayer. The prayer is not magic, it is calling God to join us and prepare the way for our healing. So many times I am in tears when people call me and share the fear that was put on them at the doctor's office if they did not
comply. I experienced it with my mom and her cancer. It is a tool of the enemy.
Let's let peace settle in where fear once tried to take over.
Especially those of you with little ones - this is very important for them to hear you pray this out loud at the home table before making any appointments.
Scripture reminds us:
“I sought the Lord and He answered me,
And rescued me from all my
fears.” (Psalm 34:4)
So, as you prepare for your appointment, walk in confidently.
Ask questions.
Breathe deeply.
Trust that God is already at work on your behalf.
You are not powerless.
You are not overlooked.
You are not walking in alone.
The Lord goes before you—and He is faithful.
As I was meeting with a couple who had gone through cancer treatments. They thought they were in remission. Yet, a doctor
wanted to see them again anyway. So they met with him. He set up more appointments. But as they shared with me, the doctor kept cancelling the appointments. They were angry and afraid.
That is when I asked if they were praying for her husband's outcome to be one of complete healing. They said yes. I asked them to pray over those missed meetings as though God was protecting them instead of incompetence from the doctor.
Two weeks later - I got a call - they were childishly excited - He
was still in remission! He was cancer free! And the doctor finally admitted it!
God was protecting them.
