Wow, life here in the biblical nutritionist family and the biblical wellness ministry is bubbling over! Launching the Ambassador program has brought such a fun new family together that is so
excited about being mentored to begin their own ministries. And then the very long awaited Biblical Wellness Practitioner program has begun. That is a room of excited people who also, are saying YES to seeing God take the gift of health to a whole new level.
Now, the next sweet Spirit-filled event is the Retreat. Last year felt like God just downloaded onto everyone His presence and His purpose in their life. I get that praise tickle building up just thinking about what is
coming in such a short time. You are coming right?
Yet, if I had quit when life was tough, none of this would have happened.
As you may have heard me share, there was a season when I was depressed, overweight, and even the simplest daily tasks felt like too much to handle. When God directed me on a journey of health, it wasn’t just about changing my physical body—it was about renewing my mind and healing my
heart.
Proverbs 4:23 reminds us:
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
If my heart hadn’t been made whole spiritually and emotionally, no amount of physical change would have prepared me to juggle everything on my plate today. True health begins in the heart—because when our inner life is healthy,
it flows into every area of our lives, even the busy seasons. ❤️
When we think of the heart, it’s easy to picture the physical organ beating in our chest—a vital part of our body that we strive to keep healthy through diet and exercise. While taking care of our physical heart is important, this verse points to something even deeper: the spiritual heart, the very center of our thoughts, desires, and emotions.
When our spiritual heart is
weighed down by bitterness, fear, anxiety, or unforgiveness, it doesn’t just affect our mood or relationships—it can actually manifest physically.
Stress can raise blood pressure and weaken the immune system.
Anxiety can disrupt digestion and sleep.
Bitterness and anger can leave us tense and exhausted, impacting our whole-body health.
Science now confirms what Scripture has told us all along: our inner life directly impacts our outer
health.
The good news? God offers us His peace and healing. When we fill our spiritual heart with His Word, prayer, and trust in Him, it brings life and vitality to our whole body.
Proverbs 17:22 reminds us,
“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
Today, take a moment to check in with your heart.
Are there areas that
need to be surrendered to the Lord?
As you release burdens and invite Him to bring wholeness, you’ll not only experience spiritual freedom but also see ripple effects of healing in your physical body.
Your health journey isn’t only about what you eat or how you move—it’s also about nurturing the heart that God designed to give you life and purpose.
So today, I encourage you to let God tend to your heart first—because when the heart is
strong and centered in Him, everything else in life becomes not only manageable, but deeply meaningful. ❤️
