Experience the Joy of Sukkot – God’s Feast of Celebration 🌿✨

Have you ever been to a concert where the finale was so good you didn’t want it to end? That’s exactly how I feel about the Fall Feasts of the Lord.

We’ve already walked through the first two:
🎺 The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) the big announcement that something is about to happen!
🙏 Feast of Atonement (Yom Kippur) – a sacred day focused on forgiveness and restoration.

And now… we’ve reached the grand finale.
The biggest, most joy-filled celebration of them all: Sukkot—also known as the Feast of Tabernacles or the Feast of Booths. 🌿

This year, Sukkot began at sunset on October 6 and continues through sunset on October 13.

Sukkot is all about joy, gratitude, and dwelling with God. In ancient Israel, families built temporary shelters, or “sukkahs,” to remember how God provided for His people in the wilderness. It was a time to rejoice over the harvest and to look forward to His future promises.

For Christians, Sukkot points us directly to Jesus, who came to “tabernacle” or dwell among us (John 1:14). It’s a reminder that no matter where we are in life, our true home is in Him. Imagine setting aside a few moments to pause, breathe, and rejoice in His presence—celebrating His faithfulness in the past and trusting Him for what’s ahead.

Here are a few simple ways you can celebrate Sukkot right where you are:

🌾 Create a space to reflect – Set up 'sukkah' a small tent or canopy in your yard or even in your living room as a reminder of God’s presence.
🥖 Share a meal with family or friends – Give thanks for His provision and speak blessings over one another.
🙌 Rejoice before the Lord – Play worship music, read Psalms of praise, and celebrate the goodness of God with gladness. Dance around with leaves offering praises to Abba Father!

Sukkot is a season of overflowing joy—a time to celebrate that God not only provides but desires to dwell with His people. My prayer is that as you step into this special week, you’ll experience His presence in a fresh, powerful way.
