Today is a time to Celebrate!
There is something truly remarkable happening this week!
While many of us are preparing to celebrate the Resurrection this coming Sunday, April 5th, a beautiful "divine appointment" is unfolding right before our
eyes.
🩸Today is Passover. 🙌
Thousands of years ago, the blood of a lamb saved Israel from death. It was a stunning picture—a "shadow"—of the only price that could ever be paid for our sins.
We see this fulfilled so perfectly in Jesus, our Passover Lamb.
But the story doesn't stop at the cross. Did you know that First Fruits, the biblical feast representing the harvest, falls on the exact same day we celebrate the Resurrection in 2026?
Jesus didn't just rise; He became the "first fruits" of all who have fallen asleep (1 Corinthians 15:20).
The Master’s
Calendar
In the Bible, these are called "appointed times." These aren't just ancient traditions; they are God’s permanent statutes—a prophetic map of His entire plan for humanity.
There are seven main Feasts of the Lord:
✧ The Four Fulfilled: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and
Pentecost.
✧ The Three to Come: Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles.
When we understand these, the Bible moves from 2D to 3D. We begin to see how the removal of leaven (sin) mirrors Jesus’s burial, and how the "appointed times" yet to come tell the story of our future hope.🪻
Celebrating the
Life, Not Earning the Love
One of the most important things to remember is why we join in these appointments. We don't celebrate these feasts to "earn" our way into God’s grace or to check a box for salvation.
Think of it like a birthday party:
✧ Celebrating a birthday doesn't create the life; it honors the life that
already exists.
✧ In the same way, we celebrate these feasts because Jesus has already given us Life. We aren't looking for a "have-to" religion; we are enjoying a "get-to" relationship.
Because we love Jesus and all He has done, we celebrate the various steps He has taken to redeem us—some fulfilled with breathtaking precision, and others still "yet to be" that He will
fulfill in the future!
By observing these days, we honor what was done and practice for the great celebrations to come!
A Seat at the Table
Because we have been "grafted in" to this beautiful tree with Israel (Romans 11:17), these celebrations belong to our heritage, too.
I created a special course to help us see Jesus in every one of these moments and understand the story they tell together.
Inside the Course:
✧ The 7 Biblical Feasts: Seeing the history and the prophecy in each one.
✧ Added
Celebrations: The rich meaning behind Purim, Hanukkah, and the Sabbath.
✧ Christian Celebration: Practical ways we, as believers, can join in these appointments today.
